Looking for a fun way to get your kids to learn CVC words? Well, this Find the Missing Vowel activity is sure to do just that. With an Easter theme that is engaging and enticing, take some time to see what the talk is all about.

What is it? In this phonemic awareness activity students will be instructed to identify the picture and the letters below. Sound out each letter to determine the missing medial letter that makes up the word.

Who is it for? This is primarily for early readers who are just beginning to decode words. Students have acquired the essential skills of letter recognition in the sounds that each letter makes, then this activity is perfect for blending the sounds together to form words.

How to play it? Students will identify the picture. Sound out the letters shown at the bottom of each picture that correlates. Determine that there is a missing letter. In order to complete each word. Click and drag the Easter eggs with the correct vowel to the blank space. This completes the word. Students will then reread the word again to make sure the correct vowel is what makes up the word.
