This interactive CVC Short Vowel U Hidden Picture game is designed to teach students reading fluency, writing, and phonological awareness. It can be played as a whole group or individually. It consist of audio throughout the game and provides a hidden picture at the end once all the puzzle tiles are placed in their correct spots. Students can click on each image and message on the hidden picture to listen to the Valentine thoughts of each animal. Students will get a kick out of the phrases. Hope you enjoy.
What is it? These are digital task cards for Valentine’s Day that promotes phonological awareness. It helps to enhance early literacy skills in the classroom. The cards are set up as a puzzle which consist of hidden picture. Behind the entire puzzle is a hidden picture embedded with audio.
Who is it for? Early readers that are in the beginning stage of identifying CVC words and decoding each sound. Students must be able to match words with pictures by reading and listening to clues.
How to play it?
· Students will click on the character heart for instructions.
· Click on the teddy bear for audio clues to determine the correct word.
· Drag the correct word to the right spot.
· Drag the corresponding picture to the right spot.
· Type the correct word in the box bellow.
How to set it up?

Why is it a great activity? I enjoy making this activity especially the part where students can click on the characters that provides audio. The valentine messages are inspiring and it can be played individually or as a whole group setting. The game is set up for two groups so each group takes turns.
