What could be more fun than a card game at the beach learning CVC words. Take off your slippers and relax in the sun while your little ones are collecting and matching sea shells with CVC words and pictures. Along with a partner they will see how many CVC words they can match up with its pictures. At last, a hidden picture will be revealed

What is it? A CVC matching game in which students has to match the words on sea shells with corresponding pictures. A hidden picture will be revealed once the white box is clicked on.

Who is it for? This is primarily for early readers who are just beginning to decode words. Students have acquired the essential skills of letter recognition in the sounds that each letter makes, then this activity is perfect for blending the sounds together to form words.

How to play it? Each player will take turns dragging the cards to the playing card box. Once the sea shells are revealed, keep going until a shell with a CVC word and picture matches. Once a match is found, drag the matches into your bucket. Once all the matches are collected, click on the white box; which reveals the hidden picture. Count to see how many matches you have by reading each CVC words. The person with the most matches wins the game.

How to set it up?
