Counting foods is a great way to learn different types of foods we eat and recognizing numbers from 1-5. Through the use of subitizing with fingers students are encouraged to look and quickly identify the number of fingers that are equal to the amount of foods grouped on the left side. In addition, this activity also provides the concept of spelling numeric words and indicating the numeral on the right side.

What is it? A number sense activity in which students are encaged in recognizing groups of foods from 1-5 and indicating the amount by identifying the numeral and spelling it out.

Who is it for? This is for students who are just beginning to acquired the essential skills of number recognition and counting grouped foods.

How to play it?

Identify how many foods is shown on the left side of the screen. Look at the arrangement of fingers and click on the one that matches with the amount of foods. In addition, click on the correct number and spell out the correct numeric word.

How to set it up?
