Subitizing with Dominoes has never been so much fun. These 50 set task cards consist of four colorful dominoes which are designed to make learning number sense from 1-20 more fun and interesting. Implement this into the math center while students independently learn to identify the dots on a die without using one-to-one correspondence and mark the correct answers. This Skill will help students compose and decompose numbers with ease and identify the number of objects in groups without individually counting them.
What is it? These are task cards designed to identify groups of dominoes and being able to recognize the quantity without counting the dots individually.
Who is it for? Pre-Kindergarten through first graders can use this to help them subitize numbers up to twenty.
How to set it up? Once downloaded, cut out each task cards. One can choose to laminate it to prevent them from waring and tearing.
How to use it? Indicated in the video, the student identifies the dots on the dominoes in groups and then combines the amount to come up with the sum. Answers are marked with manipulatives. This can be used in the math center to help build confidence in early math skills.
